On Saturday, September 23rd, the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House hosted the 26th annual Mac Tonight Gala at the Globe Theatre at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Over 440 people attended this event to support the House and its families, helping to raise over $418,000!
Guests enjoyed a beautiful evening beginning with a red carpet filled with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, while posing for pictures with Ronald and Marilyn Monroe. People also were able to bid on one-of-a-kind auction items, including everything from signed memorabilia to fashionable jewelry pieces.
The real show began as the guests made their way into an extravagantly decorated dining room for dinner, dancing and more live auctions, all hosted by actor and former resident of a Ronald McDonald House, Echo Kellum, who stars on CW’s hit television series, "Arrow".
And who could forget the memorable musical performance by father-daughter duo, Todd and Julia, leaving the crowd on their feet for a standing ovation. It was also an honor to have them speak on the positive impact the House had on their family, when they stayed with us during Julia’s treatment.
A special portion of the night was also dedicated to honoring those who exemplify qualities of the House and play an important role in contributing to the House. These individuals and their respective awards include:

Monte Durham (TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress) – Spirit of the House Award
Social workers from our partner hospitals – Dr. Stuart Siegal Excellence in Pediatrics Award
