Group Volunteers consist of groups of friends, families, corporations, civic or religious groups and lead an array of activities for the families of the Orange County House. Volunteering groups provide families with an opportunity of respite during a highly stressful time.

Meal of Love
The meals you provide bring love into the House, allowing families to unwind, de-stress, and fortify their bodies to be at their best for their child in the hospital. Groups of up to 12 people choose a menu, purchase the ingredients, and prepare the meal in our full-service kitchen, allowing families to find nourishment and comfort in a shared meal. Breakfast is served daily at 9:00 am, dinner is served daily at 6:00 pm.
Qualifications: Show off your creativity and cooking skills (or just practice!). We supply the kitchen and equipment, your group just needs to bring the ingredients. All food must be prepared and cooked on site or brought directly from a commercial retail kitchen. Maximum of 12 volunteers, including chaperones.
Location: Orange County Ronald McDonald House
Commitment: Scheduled date to prepare a meal
Minimum Age: 13+ with adult supervision - 1 adult per 5 youth volunteers

Help support the families of the House by soliciting items that we are constantly in need of around the House. Imagine all the household items around your house, we need that times 20! This is great for those who need last minute school hours, are waiting for meal and baking dates to open up, brownie troops, High School clubs, Mom groups, etc.!
Qualifications: Simply collect the items from our wish list and drop them off at the House from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Please see our “Wish List” webpage for our current needs Click Here.

Pop Tab Collection
Pop tabs remind us of an important lesson: even little things make a big difference. Pop tabs helps us pay the bills so moms and dads need not worry about where they will stay while their children are in the hospital. Start a pop tab program and count to a million!
Qualifications: Ask your friends at school, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, youth groups, sports teams, neighbors, relatives and co-workers to help save tons of tabs. From first graders to grandparents, anyone can get in on the action.

Cleaning Project
Many of our families are coming to us in a state of stress and anxiety. They deserve to be welcomed into a home that is clean and inviting. A cleaning project will help create that peace of mind for families as they are going through their time between the hospital and work.
Qualifications: Help our House feel more like a home! We supply the cleaning products, gloves and tools needed to get the job done. Groups will clean communal spaces of the House, for example: inside, outside and around each floor (we have 3 floors!) but will not be asked to clean guest rooms.
Maximum of 15 volunteers, including chaperones.
- Location: Orange County Ronald McDonald House
- Commitment: Scheduled date to clean
- Minimum Age: 13+ with adult supervision – 1 adult per 1 youth volunteer
