Santa and Mrs. Clause, Carollers, Superheroes, gifts galore and SNOW! Such a magical treat for our families that have been through so much this year.
The Great Wolf Lodge, in Garden Grove, was the setting for our annual Family Holiday party on December 19th. The Lodge generously donated the space and even made sure that every inch of the theme park was decked out in holiday splendor. It even snowed in the lobby! Our guests were treated to cookies and hot chocolate, chips and salsa. And of course, the best treat of all was a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a chance to pick out a few toys.
But let’s back up…the day before the party, the elves at the house were frantically sorting and loading all the toys in the truck to take to the Lodge. Camp4Kids volunteered with 25 folks and helped us sort and transport the goods to the Lodge. They had tremendous energy and spirit and took a huge burden of worry off the elves. Monday morning, the Alcatel Group, appeared at the Lodge and the unloading and set up of all the toys began. Again, we couldn’t have done it without them. The Great Wolf Lodge graciously donated their ballroom, tables, tablecloths, chairs and even centerpieces so that the room was truly festive. They supplied drinks and salsa throughout the night as well as staff to help refill empty bowls and clean up. And then more elves came to help with the party. Thanks to Sempra Energy, Kelley Blue Book, Jeanette Catano photographer, Robert Reyes DJ, and all the Ronald McDonald volunteers who donated their time to make it a huge success. So many details, so much help, and so much generosity of spirit.
But wait, there’s more…as if Santa wasn’t enough, Batman, Darth Vader, Newt from Fantastic Beasts, a couple of Ninja Turtles, and many more characters were mingling with our guests. Who knew Chad Osuna and Geeks for Kourageos Kids could wrangle up so many superheroes to share the night with our families!
Thanks again to all, we hope everyone had as much fun as we did and enjoyed the evening.
