Our House has 9 family bedrooms available and many common areas for families to enjoy. By adopting one of these rooms, your contribution helps to ensure that these spaces remain available to families without regard to their economic status which, in most cases, is dire.
We ask that families contribute $15.00 per night to stay at the House; however, 70% of families are unable to pay anything. Through your generosity, no family is ever turned away due to their inability to pay.
Your donation is critical to our success. Once all of our rooms are adopted, we will have raised an additional $95,000 – approximately 21% of our annual budget. We have served over 6,000 families since 2004. With an occupancy rate of over 94% the past few years the need to provide temporary housing for families of critically ill and injured children is overwhelming.
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House has built good relationships with our local hospitals who in turn refer all of the families that stay in our House. Approximately half of our families have a child receiving care at Huntington Hospital which is across the street. We also work with City of Hope, Shriners Hospitals for Children Los Angeles, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, County USC Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, and other local healthcare providers.
